Evidence

On a crime scene, you can find evidence in almost any place. Including the damage to both vehicles involved. You can have collision damage, induced damage, tire/rim damage, seat belt positions, airbag deployment, and hood/windshield/roof damage.

There is also road side evidence. You can learn a lot from skid marks, bodily fluids, gouge marks, vehicle parts, and damage to fixed objects. A skid mark can show how a driver either attempted to avoid the person or intentionally tried to hit them. Based on when the skid marks start and where the crash occurred. The bodily fluids that are left on the ground, show where and from where the victim traveled.

Vehicle parts can show what car type and different aspect of the car, Which can then help point you to an insurance company to ultimately find the car.

The bruising on a victim can also help you understand what happened and what car hit them. Occasionally, a car will leave a distinctive mark on a body of a symbol imprint. The bruises can show the airbag and seat belt usage. This all can lead to find out if it was vehicle error or user error.
